Welcome to N-Satellite App!

De N-Satellite app simplifies the use of your access control system. Before you start, please review the following essential guidelines for long-term, trouble-free use.

All functions, except fingerprint registration, can be used remotely.

The app is secured via your phone’s built-in security system (fingerprint, facial recognition, PIN, etc.). Authentication is required each time the app is started to prevent unauthorized access. IMPORTANT: If your phone has no security, the app will remain unprotected, allowing misuse.

Correct Finger Placement on the Fingerprint Scanner

  1. Make sure at least 70% of the sensor is covered
    • Users with smaller fingerprints (especially women and children) may need to apply additional pressure for proper recognition.
  2. Place the most pronounced part of the fingerprint in the center of the sensor
    • This is typically located in the center of the fingertip pad, where the fingerprint lines are most defined
  3. Use high-quality fingerprints
    • Choose fingers that are undamaged and have a clearly visible fingerprint structure.
  4. Prevent dry skin from affecting recognition
    • Dry skin is a common cause of poor readings, especially in colder months. Keep the skin hydrated with hand cream, wet wipes or a light touch of moisture (avoid wet fingers).
  5. Keep the finger still while scanning
    • Wait for the confirmation beep before removing your finger.
  6. Register multiple fingers of both hands
    • This prevents access errors due to dirt, damage or skin problems.
    • If your fingerprint is difficult to recognize, register the same finger several times for better recognition.

Maintenance of the Device

Although maintenance is minimal, keeping it clean is crucial:

  • Fingerprint scanner: Clean with a soft, damp cloth (mild dishwashing soap if necessary) if used with dirty or greasy fingers. Accumulation of dirt can cause malfunctions.
  • Keypad: Clean with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth.

NEVER USE: Abrasive cleaners (including glass cleaners), polishes or acidic substances. Avoid rubbing with sharp objects as this may cause damage and void the warranty.

Restore factory settings

There are two ways to reset the device:

  1. Manual Reset: Press and hold the R button on the control unit for 10 seconds until the blue LED starts flashing. (Use a thin tool about 1mm in diameter to press the button.)
  2. Reset via App:Go to Keypad Over in the app and select Restore factory settings.

Attention: This will remove all fingerprints, codes and phone connections.

Testfunctie

After a factory reset, the device will turn on for 1 minuteTestmodus, indicated by flashing green lights.

  • The mode stops automatically after 1 minute or in case of power failure.
  • Afterwards, the device remains in factory settings and is ready for configuration.

First Connection

  1. Reset the device.
  2. Open the N-Satellite app, enter your email address and set a username (this will appear in the user list).
  3. Press + and select your device.

Wi-Fi setup

  1. Go to Settings-menu.
  2. Select your Wi-Fi-network.
  3. Enter your home network name and password.

App functionalities

Main menu

  • Door icon: Open door.
  • Relay 2 Icon: Activate relay 2.
  • + Users: Add new users with specific roles:
    • Administrator: Can add/remove users and change device settings.
    • Limited access: Can only open doors within specific time periods (auto-delete option available).
    • Limited number of entrances: Access is limited to a set number of times (automatic deletion option available).
    • Standard user: Can only open doors.
    • Click on a username to manage fingerprints, codes, schedules and history
  • Schema’s: Manage access per day:
    • Full access
    • No access
    • Timed access
  • History: View the last 500 events, including:
    • Door openings
    • Relay 2 activations
    • Blocked access attempts (7 failed attempts in a row)
    • Attempts outside permitted schedules
  • Instellingen: Adjust device settings such as relay activation time, LED brightness and security settings.
  • Over: View device information and restore factory settings.

Settings Menu

  • Device name: Change the device name (visible to all users).
  • Relay 1 & 2 Exit: Set the activation duration for each relay.
  • Free passage:Enable temporary unrestricted access.
  • LED-settings:
    • 24u: All ways on.
    • Automatic: On/off at sunrise and sunset.
    • Amended: Manually set on/off times.
  • Wi-Fi-network: Enable or disable Wi-Fi connection (network information required).
  • Remote control:Enable or disable GSM access.
  • Signaal-LED: Adjust the brightness of the reader’s blue illumination..
  • Buzzer:Set or disable the buzzer volume.

USER MANU

  • Geschiedenis: View access attempts and failed attempts.
  • Schema’s: Assign a schedule to a user.
  • FINGERPRINTS:
    • Register Fingerprints.
    • Choose which relay activates the printout.
    • The user must scan the finger three times for successful registration.
  • Codes:
    • Add a 5-digit passcode.
    • Choose which relay activates the code.
